1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet or phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to website operators.

Cookies can be "session" cookies (which are deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent" cookies (which remain on your device until they expire or you delete them). They can be set by the website you are visiting ("first-party cookies") or by other companies whose services appear on the page ("third-party cookies").

We use cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) in accordance with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and the UK GDPR.

In accordance with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and ICO guidance:

  • Essential cookies do not require your consent. They are strictly necessary for the Service to function and are set automatically when you access The Salon Suite.
  • Functional cookies are set based on your interaction with the Service (e.g. changing theme, collapsing sidebar). These enhance usability and fall within the legitimate expectations of users of the Service.
  • Analytics cookies require your explicit consent before being set. We will present a cookie consent banner when you first visit the Service, and analytics cookies will only be activated if you opt in.
  • Third-party cookies set by Stripe are necessary for secure payment processing and are set only when you interact with payment functionality.

You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clearing your browser cookies and revisiting the site, or by using the cookie settings option in the Service (if available).

8. How to Manage Cookies

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically choose to block all cookies, accept all cookies, or be notified when a cookie is set so you can decide whether to accept it.

Please note that blocking essential cookies will prevent The Salon Suite from functioning correctly. You may not be able to log in or use core features if essential cookies are disabled.
